Job Description

About the role. Our Clients’Maintenance team require an experienced Engineer to support their automation division within theirMaintenance in distribution and customer fulfilment centres. A background in delivery of maintenance and projects in the logistics industry and a strong understanding of warehouse material flow is required.

The candidate will work in a small team supporting maintenance teams and operations in a very demanding high volume environment. Safety is paramount, therefore a strong appreciation of good health & safety management and standards is required. Systems include pallet, case conveyor, ASRS mini load, cranes, multishuttle, and sorters.

You will be responsible for

• This role will support the delivery, running and preventative maintenance of automated systems within their distribution and customer fulfillment 24/7 centers.

• Supporting internal maintenance and engineering teams delivering PPM and reactive work.

 • Managing third party resident maintenance suppliers to KPI’s and SLA’s.

• Support operations with maintenance and engineering issues and optimisation of material flow.

• Supporting reactive or corrective work in breakdown situations.

• Delivery of maintenance and engineering standards, working knowledge of EN528, PUWER etc.

• Cost management of revenue and capital works.

• Delivery of health and safety standards, control of contractors and behavioural safety in maintenance. • Support delivery of automated projects and systems.

• Supporting new start up automated systems and maintenance set up.

• Champion continuous improvement processes.

 You will need

• Proven background in mechanical and electrical planned preventative maintenance preferably but not restricted to automated logistics.

• Excellent understanding of automated conveyor, ASRS and sortation systems.

• WMS, WCS and PLC experience.

• H&S qualification.

 • Prepared to travel and stay away when required.

Benefits
Salary £45,000 – £60,000 p/a
£7,000 Car Allowance, Company Mileage allowances, Paid Hotels and expenses, 3% Annual Bonus
